In October 2009, the City Council selected 27 people to serve on the Duarte Youth and Family Master Plan Advisory Committee. The committee undertook a significant nine month work effort to develop a strategic plan that visions what Duarte can look like in the future for its children and families. In July 2010 the City adopted the Youth and Family Master Plan consisting of 66 action steps to promote the wellbeing of Duarte youth and families. The Plan serves as a road map for public, non-profit, and private agencies, as well as the community at large, to build a better future for our youth and families in Duarte.
